The 2026 Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Biology of Host–Parasite Interactions will take place June 7–12, 2026, at Salve Regina University, in Newport.

This prestigious international meeting will showcase cutting-edge research in host–parasite biology.
The deadline for registration is May 18, 2026, but early application is strongly encouraged as submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.

There are still open slots for:

  • Keynote talks (15 + 5 min)
  • Short talks selected from abstracts (10 + 5 min)
  • Poster presentations

Researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts as soon as possible to maximize their chances of selection.

The associated Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) will be held the preceding weekend, offering an excellent opportunity for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to present and discuss their work in a peer-focused setting.

The conference is co-chaired by Laura Knoll and Gerald Spaeth.

ℹ️ For program details and application, please consult the official conference website.

The INSERM workshop “Modern methods in molecular parasitology” will take place in Montpellier, France, from 4–6 November 2026.

This event will bring together leading experts in molecular biology and parasitology to present and discuss the latest technological advances in chromatin and RNA biology, proteomics, imaging, and host–parasite interactions. It is open to researchers at all career stages and will provide ample opportunities for discussion and collaboration.

In addition, three hands-on practical courses will be offered for interested participants:

  1. Third-generation sequencing

  2. Genome organisation

  3. Structural biology

These practical sessions will take place in Paris and Grenoble. Capacity is limited to 80 participants for the theoretical workshop and 8–10 participants per practical course, so early registration is recommended.
